This zoo is 750 metres above sea level being one of ones with the highest altitudes in Europe. Consisting of over 200 animals and 150 different species this unique collection is on an area of over 4 hectares. The Alpenzoo is below the Hungerburg directly at the north mountain range. You can go there with the Hungersburgbahn, going for a short walk, by car or by bus.

The Nordkettenbahn
With Innsbruck’s Nordkettenbahnen trains in a few minutes from the city centre to the largest natural park of Austria.
